2014 April 4 - Mindanao Academy of Catechists

The Mindanao Academy of Catechists (MAC) is a project of Fr. Timothy Pfeiffer. 
The training of catechists is necessary for effective catechism programs in our catechism centers all over the city and the neighboring province.


Always working hard for the salvation of souls, Fr. Tim does not mind the oppressive heat and the many difficulties of the mission and gives precious time to the training of catechists in order to reach out to more souls...

In General Santos City, the catechists's class is attended by members of the AoM, LoM and KOOL groups
Important MAC Lesson:  Always begin and end with an Act of Faith on the article that will be presented in the class.
Fr. Tim checks the class attendance before giving the last class.

How many concepts are in the picture?
How useful is the picture in teaching catechism?
How can the picture clarify the concepts?
Will the children get the points correctly by looking at the pictures?
And finally, Fr. Tim declares the end of the 60-hour class.
He shows us the prizes he has prepared for us.

AoM aspirant Lovely Intes, member of Santiago Clan, happily receives her certificate.
She began as a catechumen on December 2010 self-studying the St. Joseph First Communion catechism,
then proceeded to Baltimore Catechism No. 2.  She attended Catechism class from May until July 2013.
She received Baptism and Confirmation on October 2013, attended Ignatian Retreat on February 2014
and now finishes the MAC 60.
She happily does her 40 hours catechism work and hopefully will graduate the MAC 100 program soon.

All to Jesus through Mary!  All to Mary for Jesus!

AoM aspirant Rhea Dawn Lamit, shows her prize and certificate.
She joined the AoM on September 2013, joined the MAC program on October,
finished the 60 hour MAC lesson on April 2014.
Then she luckily wins the New Testament quiz bee in Bohol on April 2014
now studies hard to hopefully pass the Baltimore Catechism examination
to qualify for the badge of AoM membership before the end of May 2014.

O Mary of Graces and Mother of God, may I tread in the paths that the righteous have trod 
and mayest thou save me from evil's control and mayest thou save me in body and soul!

proudly presents her certificate.
She has been very supportive of the AoM for so many years.

LoM and owner of our chapel, Mrs. Babate, gladly completes the MAC 60 hours class
and will soon finish the 40 hours catechism work, hopefully to become a happy member of the MAC 100.
