October 13: Feast of Our Lady of Fatima!

Happily, our parish fiesta in Dadiangas in honor of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage is also celebrated on the same day as the feast of Our Lady of Fatima. At 5:00AM we gathered together before the Blessed Sacrament and offered 15 decades of the Rosary pleading that the Pope will heed Our Lady's wish that Russia be consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart.

We had a joyful party at lunchtime: bihon, puto, suman, kutsinta, softdrinks... Deo gratias! Ave Maria!

October 7: Feast of the Rosary

Ave Maria! Remembering the battle of Lepanto, we bravely faced the cold dark dawn for the procession in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary. We had a very happy breakfast together before we proceeded to our offices and schools... It always feels good to start a day with fervent praises and supplications to God and Our Lady.

Today we started a block rosary in Ladol, Alabel, Sarangani Province. 16 attended the Rosary. May Our Lady watch over our work.

OCTOBER 3: TYPHOON RELIEF MISSIONS FOR THE VICTIMS OF TYPHOON KETSANA (ONDOY)

In cooperation with the Catholic Association of Doctors, Nurses and Health Professionals in Asia (ACIM-ASIA) and the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX), Apostles of Mary served in the relief mission, assisting in the distribution of food and rosaries, and helping in the medical services (pharmacy, registration, crowd control, hauling of supplies, etc.) It was good to be able to extend help to the needy and the suffering, for the love of God.

September 30-October 2: ORGANIZING OF TYPHOON RELIEF MISSIONS

Apostles of Mary members from Gensan packed medicines and supplies, helped in the inventory and hauling from ACIM-Asia office to the airport. Calls were made to AoM in Manila to coordinate the mission venue, transportation and other concerns.

Members in Manila helped in packing the food items to be distributed at the mission. They also coordinated with Barangay Officials for the conduct of the mission on October 3. They were also very enthusiastic in meeting the mission volunteers at the airport and in the hauling of the boxes of medicines from the airport to the priory. Tasks were distributed for the actual mission, to have orderly distribution of goods and orderly reception of patients.

The joint efforts served to encourage members to rise to the call to sacrifice personal convenience, comfort and routine, to STEP OUT OF THE WAY TO SERVE the poor victims of the disaster. For God, no task is too difficult, no cause too lofty, no assignment too lowly. Everybody gave up something in order to GIVE. GIVING makes us happy.
